Lead Removal – Fresno, Ca.

ABOUT LEAD

Lead is a chemical element, delegated as a heavy metal in the periodic table of elements. Lead is soft and malleable, and also has a relatively low melting point. When freshly cut, lead is silvery with a hint of blue.

Where is lead contamination found: for a large portion of Aamerica’s industrialization lead was a common metal to be used for piping in buildings, and as a result through decay and general wear and tear can contaminate water flowing through it and other surfaces any piping might come in contact with.

Effects of lead: Lead is a highly poisonous metal (whether inhaled or swallowed), affecting almost every organ and system in the human body. At high enough airborn concentrations it is instantly considered deadly. Lead can cause severe damage to the brain and kidneys and, ultimately, death. By mimicking calcium, lead can cross the blood–brain barrier and decrease neuronal growth.

Please refrain from touching or removing any lead you may find on your premises. If you find any lead that needs to be cleaned please contact us and let us take care of the biohazard for you quickly and discretely.
